He is birthed again (from the womb of Nut)
He has prevailed (in the battle within the Duat)

A consecrated temple endures in Ipet-isut
To perpetuate the ritual of flame
The luminous Eye of Heru deters Re's enemies
Under Mau chaotic forces will be slain

For the Wadjet-encoiled disk rising above
A purifying fire below
Preparation and sanctification for burning rejuvenation
A shrine to seek refuge from the underworld's shadow

Incense to the flame for the Lord of the Two Horizons
For He who guards the hallowed Ished Tree
Mau tears and rends at serpentine incursion
For Tehuti and Seshat to advance fatal scribing

Re who radiates like gold in the sky
Emitting blasts of fire from the mouth
He is once again swallowed by Nut
The moment of nightly war has come...

The Other who enveloped Nu's abyss
In creation fought Sun's rise from the mass
With every journey of the bark in the Duat
Apep spears attack on the Sun God

It was darkness (all curses incarnate)
It knows destruction (annul the Pillars of Shu)
It is regenerated (chaos never ceases)
It has arrived (the darkest hour of night)

A sanctum of refuge within Re's naos
A sacred flame to repel chaos
A microcosmical eye of light
Assailed by serpentine night

Geb sieged by Sebau and Nak
Underworld haunted by Apep
The return of Re keeps cosmic order
All will return to Nu's waters
